So what’s the deal with Netflix?

So when Netflix decided to a streaming only service and the “DVD” portion would switch over to “Qwikster” I thought to myself, “ok, who cares”? Apparently there was a lot of “caring” going on to the point where Netflix has decided to can the whole idea. They also changed their pricing sheme and according to the email I received from Netflix just moments ago, they do not plan to change the pricing plans again. We will see about that. Below is a screenshot of the email they sent to me.

Their blog basically reflects the same noted here.
I suppose it’s only a matter of time to see how they plan to recoup the money they probably spent on the acquisition or strategic partnership to maintain the DVD home delivery service, and will those costs eventually be absorbed back into the service fees to their subscribers. I honestly don’t mind paying 8 bucks a month to strema TV shows and movies anytime I want to my iPad, iPhone and xbox. I think it’s well worth the service.
So many people were bitching and complaining when they changed their rates, but I still felt there was a lot of value in the price I paid, and I don’t use the DVD mailing service at all. So do I think this will really affect me in any way? Probably not but I think it’s funny when things like this happen to read the comments on the social media outlets. People take this way to seriously, it’s just business at the end of the day and Netflix did change their model based off feedback, what more do you want really?

I am stoked that even before season 2 of “the walking dead” airs you will already be able to stream season 1. That’s just bad ass you have to admit. If you are a zombie fan I highly recommend checking it out. It’s one of my favorite shows that has come out in the last year.
In any case, I would love to hear other opinions and in the meantime I will not be quitting Netflix, I will be enjoying a first rate service for less than the price of two venti vanilla latte’s.
